Fault code: 9984 SCANIA

Error identification:

The voltage has been above the permitted level for one of the sensors which has a shared voltage supply.

Cause:

One of the sensors which has a shared voltage supply is shorted to the battery voltage. It may be one of the following sensors: coolant temperature sensor, charge air temperature sensor, charge air pressure sensor, fuel supply pressure sensor and fan speed sensor.

Notes:

The maximum engine torque is reduced by about 30% as long as the fault is active.

Action:

Check sensors, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.
