Fault code: EMS 5812 SCANIA

Error identification:

The monitoring of the particulate filter pressure differential shows an implausible value. The value is lower than normal.

Cause:

• There is no particulate filter in the silencer.

• Fault in the particulate filter.

• Fault in the differential pressure sensor.

Notes:

May result in a higher content of visible exhaust gases.

Action:

1. Check that there is a particulate filter in the silencer.

2. Check the differential pressure sensor.

3. Check that the pipes connected to the differential pressure sensor are connected upstream and downstream of the silencer.

4. Check the signal from the differential pressure sensor to the engine control unit.

5. Check if there is any damage to the exhaust gas aftertreatment system.

6. Check if there is any damage to the particulate filter.
