Error identification:

The voltage in the circuit has been outside the permitted range.

Cause:

Short circuit to ground in the circuit for the starter motor pre-relay.

Notes:

The starter motor cannot be activated.

Action:

Check the circuit components, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.

Starter motor control M1

Error identification:

The voltage in the circuit has been outside the permitted range.

Cause:

• Fault in the starter motor harness-to-harness connector or cable harness.

• Fault in the starter motor.

Notes:

The starter motor cannot be activated.

Action:

Check the starter motor according to Workshop Manual > 16-95 Troubleshooting and symptoms > 16:95-01 Starter motor.
