Fault code 5701

For this fault code there are several descriptions depending on the system to which this code refers and its version or version of this system that is installed on the machine

EMS Engine Management System

Starter motor control M1

Error identification:

The voltage in the circuit has been outside the permitted range.

Cause:

Interruption or short circuit to +24 V in the circuit to the starter motor pre-relay.

Notes:

A short circuit to + 24 V can result in unintentional activation of the starter motor.

Action:

Check the circuit components, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.

Starter motor control M1

Error identification:

The voltage in the circuit has been outside the permitted range.

Cause:

• Fault in the starter motor harness-to-harness connector or cable harness.

• Fault in the starter motor.

Notes:

A short circuit to battery voltage can result in unintentional activation of the starter motor.

Action:

Check the starter motor according to Workshop Manual > 16-95 Troubleshooting and symptoms > 16:95-01 Starter motor.
