Error identification:

The EGR valve does not close quickly enough.

Cause:

The fault may be due to:

• The EGR valve is stuck or binding due to mechanical problems or rust.

• Fault in the EGR valve control cylinder.

• Fault on valve block V107.

Notes:

The fault affects engine performance.

There may be increased particulate emissions and smoke.

Action:

1. Check that the control cylinder can be moved between the open and closed position.

2. Check that the EGR valve can move without binding.

3. Check the EGR valve control cylinder.

4. Renew the valve block V107.
