Fault code:

Ignition coil, cylinder 5

The ignition coil has an open circuit.

Fault in the electrical cables or harness-to-harness connectors.

The engine misfires. Uneven engine running and limited torque.

Check electrical cables and harness-to-harness connectors. Check the spark.

Thoroughly check the connection to the ME7 control unit and the earth connection to the engine. There must be no traces of corrosion.

After carrying out the action, run the engine at minimum 1,600 rpm to clear the fault code.
