Fault code: EMS 4473 SCANIA

Error identification:

The injector code does not contain any acceptable values.

Cause:

• The injector code does not contain an acceptable value.

• The issue of the code is not supported by the control unit.

• Too many identical codes have been programmed for different injectors

Notes:

As long as the fault code is active, the control unit does not carry out individual adaptation of the injectors. The control unit cannot correct due to the manufacturer s tolerances. The check is carried out when the control unit is activated.

Action:

1. Run Safety precautions for the fuel system.

2. Check that all the codes set are unique and that they correspond with the respective injectors. Also check that the part number for the injector is correct for the chassis serial number.

3. Delete the fault codes and switch the voltage off and on again after each action because the test is only carried out when the control unit is activated.
