Fault code: BWS 4 SCANIA

Error identification:

Communication between the bodywork control unit and engine control unit has been interrupted.

Cause:

Short circuit or open circuit in the red or yellow CAN bus. There may also be an internal fault in the engine control unit or the coordinator.

Notes:

The function that is requested from the bodywork control unit does not work.

Action:

Check the red and yellow CAN bus cables and harness-to-harness connectors. Also check whether the engine control unit or the coordinator has generated any fault codes.
