Fault code: EMS 278 SCANIA

Error identification:

Coolant temperature sensor fault.

Cause:

Fault in the coolant temperature sensor, its harness-to-component connectors or cable harness.

Notes:

The engine power is reduced.

The fault code cannot be deleted when it is active.

Action:

Check the circuit components, harness-to-component connectors and electrical cables.

Note:

Always run Checking the EGR circuit to verify that the fault has been rectified when this fault code has been generated. This check is available through SDP3.
