Throttle cannot reach the requested position.
For vehicles with a gas engine
• Actuator for throttle M34 is defective.
• Throttle adaptation has failed.
• The throttle shaft is jammed.
• Ice or deposits in the throttle.
• The throttle blade is deformed.
For vehicles with a pneumatic throttle
• Freezing.
• Throttle stuck or moving very slowly.
• Insufficient air supply to the cylinder.
• Faulty valve block V107.
For vehicles with electric throttle M42
• High friction.
• Blocked throttle blade.
• Internal mechanical fault.
• Internal electrical fault.
Limp home mode is activated.
For vehicles with a pneumatic or electric throttle
No system response.
1. Check that the actuator for throttle M34 is intact and clean.
2. Check that the throttle can move freely. See instructions in Electrical system > EMS > S7 > M, Electric motors > M34, Throttle actuator > Check.
3. Check the actuator for throttle harness-to-component connector and cable harness.
4. Renew the throttle actuator.
Verification
1. Turn the starter key to drive mode. The fault code then becomes inactive.
2. Clear the fault code and check that it is not regenerated.
1. Thaw the vehicle.
2. Check if the throttle has limited movement.
3. Check for air leaks in the cylinder, valve block V107 or air hoses.
4. Check valve block V107.
Run EMS > E44 > S7 > Check > Operational testing of the electric throttle.
Warning!
This must only be done with no power on the throttle, i.e. with the switch removed. Otherwise there is risk of injury.
• Inspect and clean the throttle housing internally.
• For an active or frequent fault code, renew the throttle.
